Dr, Jircik was kind and concerned as always. Even though he is very busy, he takes the time to ask me how I am doing, answer all my questions, and provide clear and detailed explanations. He makes sure to take steps immediately ( i.e. order lab and imaging tests, send prescription orders, and provide referral to a specialist when he feels that would be helpful) he is the best doctor I have known, which is why I travel 3 hours from Marshall for appointments and pay extra to my insurance company so that I can still keep him as my primary physician!!*

Dr. Jircik is such a refreshing change from doctors I have had in the past. He is very pleasant and listens to one’s concerns. He also does a great job diagnosing the problem and is quick to provide a course of action. I just glad that my former doctor retired and found Dr. Jircik*

Most visits with Dr. Jircik have been office calls. If he is unable to answer my needs, he tells me how to find out and who can help me. Also, I have had a lot of trouble with medicine in the past and have never had interaction or trouble.*

Entering the waiting room, I felt reassured that Dr. Jircik was a good choice for a Family doctor. The receptionist greeted my wife and me with a warm, friendly smile. While retrieving the requested insurance card(s) and driver’s license, I took in all of the Christian symbols, quotes and wall-hangings displayed around the Receptionist Area and Waiting Room. As Christians, we were right at home with the statements of faith and comfortable while waiting to see Dr. Jircik. After being called back by the M.A. and directed to the scales, I was thrilled to realize that I would be broadcasting my weight to everyone in the inner office. I didn’t have to, but announcing “my number” is my way of coping with an uncomfortable situation. Dr. Jircik entered the examination room with a friendly and receptive air of knowledge and authority. He politely introduced his “scribe” and began asking the pertinent health history questions that one would expect. He then began his basic exam, but noticed a stethoscopic sound in my carotid artery that he did not like. He immediately paused his exam and noted in his stenographic recording to contact my cardiologist and request a carotid ultrasound (or Doppler). Without missing a beat, he resumed and completed his exam. Afterward, he explained that I checked-out fine, but that he noticed a (“technical word” abnormality) in my carotid artery and would call my cardiologist to recommend a Doppler. Since I recently had a complete blood work-up, he would skip this visit’s blood analysis. Dr. Jircik normally has blood drawn, by his staff lobotomist, each visit to analyze before the next office visit. I previously had a Family Doctor that followed this practice and it worked very well. In summary, I feel blessed and am very excited to begin this Doctor-Patient relationship with Doctor Jircik! He is most definitely a God-Send and I know that my wife and I will be in great hands.*
